Here are a selection of shops that I have either, used in the past, or have looked at with every intention of purchasing, but found that my credit card had mysteriously disappeared before I got to the checkout...hmmmm

Debenhams		N	I've not ordered any clothes from here yet but have used their Wedding Gift service which can sometimes be very straightforward and sometimes the hardest thing in the world! TOP TIP If faced with an online Wedding Gift list, take it to the store anyway if you can be bothered as sometimes you'll get the item in the sale in the store - you won't be offered the sale price online!
Argos Additions		Y	What you'd expect really - quality of clothes sometimes dubious, but reasonable payment, delivery and returns system - quite painless
La Redoute		Y	The delivery is undertaken by a local courier so can be a bit dodgy (I had my order thrown over my back gate once!), but returns can be made via the Post Office but remember to take your returns form with you or they will charge you
As Seen on Screen (ASOS)		N	This is a fab site with loads of lovely clothes, most of which are there as some star or other has been seen wearing them (or versions of them). haven't bought anything from them...(YET!)
Schuh		N	This, again is a lovely site with loads and loads of lovely SHOES!! haven't bought anything from them yet
Home / DIY / Misc.
Muji		N	For those of you who love the shop, here's the online version!
B+Q		N	Say no more!
Lakeland (Plastics)		Y	Again, an online version of a well loved favourite - trust me, this is a real time/money vacuum!
Screwfix (Direct)		Y	Generally cheaper than B+Q, Free delivery if you order over £40 (I think!). Good customer service and often technical support is available by phone.
Chemiclean		Y	Ordered our "George" carpet cleaner from here - actually ordered over the phone after finding them online - they provided a fantastic service with an unbeatable price and it took less than 24 hours from order to delivery - brilliant!
Toiletries  / Cosmetics
Lush		Y	Beautiful, fantastic, delicious smelling goodies that treat you from top to toe in natural, vegetarian and sometimes organic ingredients. Sadly, the Lush products have stopped making such a difference to my skin now and I'm finding the creams a little heavy - no offence Lush, your bath bombs and shampoos are still lovely so for face products have moved over to.....
Liz Earle		Y	These products are also animal friendly and vegetarian and smell just divine (flowers!)
The Body Shop		N	Believe it or not you can't actually shop online at the Body Shop just yet, but I'm hoping they will soon :o)
Strawberrynet		N	Cheap Perfume - but be careful, you may have to pay import duties
Books
Amazon (UK)		Y	Books, CDs, DVDs, Videos, Software, etc. etc. etc. - A great site, which now offers free delivery if you order over £25. You can also set up a wish list here (as we have - hint hint!)
Books Online		N	I haven't used this site for a while, but it's useful to compare the prices with Amazon - Sometimes they offer free P&P making them cheaper
CDs/DVDs
DVD Box Office		Y	This is a US site but offers DVDs in the different Region coding - normally charged in Canadian Dollars, but often much cheaper than the UK and also has some DVDs before the shops here
Play.com		Y
CDWOW		Y	The first site on the Web (as far as I know) that offers Chart Albums for £8.99 with no P&P. These CDs, etc come from all around the globe - I don't know how they make it so cheap!! You will have seen in the news that they've had to put their prices up recently, but they're still cheap.
Gifts
Funkyzilla		Y	Japanese EXOTICA (not erotica!) - My most favourite site for gifts at the moment - totally unique and just fantastic. I kept this website a secret for ages before Christmas as I didn't want anyone else to go there and steal my ideas - but now you know ;o)
Forbidden Plant		N	Another site for really intriguing gift ideas for those "hard to buy for" people :o)
Prezzybox		Y	A site with great presents and FREE P+P!!
Findmeagift		Y	Another great site, but the P&P is quite pricey
The Chocolate Trading Company		Y	Lots of lovely and sometimes unusual chocolate related gifts.
Cybercandy		N	If you like sweets (especially those you can't generally get in the UK), then you'll LOVE this site! :o)
Looneystuff		N	This is another "candy" site - good fun! :o)
GoBaz		Y	I think this site used to be called "Go Bazaar" but it's got a load of cool stuff on, a bit like IWOOT
Thorntons		Y	Fabulous chocolates from the well-loved high-street store, delivered to your (or a friend's) door. Shipping is pricey but haven't had any complaints about quality of gift from recipients so far :o)
PC parts and stuff
ebuyer		Y	Very cheap selection of PC bits and pieces. I've not personally used them yet. But you can get a case with a 300W PSU for less than £15, I've heard that you get what you pay for though, so sharp corner and cheaper plastics may be found.
Scan		Y	Scan Computers. Good selection of quality PC parts. Prices for parts tend to be good, but postage is comparatively expensive and the couriers are difficult deal with if you're not at home on the first attempt. "Today Only" section has good offers on it. Customer service can be very frustrating at times.
Tom's Hardware		N/A	Toms Hardware. A PC hardware information, review and benchmarking site. Much more commercialised than it used to be, but still a useful resource when selecting new bits and bobs for your upgrade.
7 Day Shop		Y	Good for memory cards, printer cartridges, that kind of stuff - menu system could be better. P+P not too expensive
