The game
Gran Turismo 3(GT3) for the Playsation 2 (the reason I bought a Playstaion 2) is amazing.
I could leave it there as it just about sums up the game. There are lots of reviews out there on the net about this game and
each one has a little niggle, "the menus aren't right" "the number of cars is lees than GT2", but I challenge you to find a more
involving, realistic and huge game as this.

I've had it for nearly 4 months (as of September 2002) now and have complete about 20% of the game. It is huge! The game kind of
eveolves as you play it, the way you drive when you start in little Yaris' and MX-5's changes dramatically when you get behind the
wheel of a 1000+BHp monster.

All the little details start to matter. You can't win on BHP alone, you need a light responsive and powerful car with very hefty brakes!
Some of the courses are a bit boring (Test Circuit) but allow you to see just how fast you can actually go (I read somewhere if you adjust
the wings on your car just right you can take off!! (not sure how true that is though)).

Well I splashed out with some money I got for Christmas and bought the
Logitech
force feedback steering wheel. It's great! and if you plug it into your PC (it has a USB connection) Windows (XP) sorts out the drivers
for it on it's own and it works on a PC too! But it is very different to using the PS2 controller. I need some more practice before I can
get to the same level I was at before. I am currently 48.8% through the game. Still a long way to go! But I need to get some more done before
GT4 comes out later this year!
GT4 is rumoured to be released later this year, around September time, and promises to be a superb game. Two big differences are that you
will be able to play online with it the network adapter and that for the first time in the Gran Turismo series,
the cars will be able to get damaged.

50% complete
Well, I finally made it! 50% game complete. Just done enough to get that far, can't beleive it's taken me so long to get half way through the game. The trouble is the races are getting longer, and harder. What started out as 3 lap, 5 race series are turning into 5 lap, 10 race series. Allthough I expect that this can only get worse!!
