Many many moons ago, when I first started as a web designer (oh, okay about 2 years ago) we didn't really have any formal JavaScript
or Flash Training but took part in tutorial sessions with my team. These Sessions aimed to teach us the basics of using Javascript and Flash
in a number of useful ways.
The links on the right will take you to pages displaying the request and results from some of the homework.
Now before you start, I know these displays of code are hardly rocket science, but if you're interested in learning the basics
then it can be really worthwhile having something to experiment with.
Some of the JavaScripts perform complicated calculations (no really - they do!) so your browser may pop-up a warning.
If you have the time, then press "yes" when prompted to allow the script to complete - it shouldn't take too long.
Well, thanks for looking. I'm going to try and update this section with more examples, and Richard (who believe me is a much more proficient and
experienced web designer than me) is planning to put together some "web basics" packages for those of you interested in learning the
"art" of coding rather than just "how to use Dreamweaver" (snobs that we are!).
These will be found on our "sister site" JamMonkey.com.
Enjoy - and don't fall of your chair laughing - remember, we're all beginners once!!
